Brenda Barrett-Coleman

Brenda Coleman serves as Lower Elementary Director at The Montessori School of Camden. She holds a B.A. in Public Affairs from Columbia College and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, along with Multilanguage Learner and Gifted certifications.

Brenda began at the school in 2001 and became Lower Elementary Director in 2002, earning her Montessori certification in 2005. She later served as a 4K teacher and Head Start Center Coordinator before returning to her current role in 2019. She also served as Interim Head of School from 2024–2025.

Brenda enjoys travel, handcrafts, and time with her family, and is guided by Montessori’s belief in respecting the child.
