Membership
Join a community built on peace education
MEPI membership connects you to a community of Montessori educators and schools committed to peace education and high standards of practice. We offer individual memberships for 1, 2, or 3 years, as well as annual school memberships. Individual memberships run from February 1 to January 31 each year.
Two ways to join
Individual membership is for teachers and trainers. School membership is for Montessori schools working toward accreditation and MEPI intern placement. Both support Montessori peace education and give you a voice in how MEPI is run.
Individual Membership Benefits
Service Opportunities
Members can serve on the MEPI Board of Directors and on committees (Conference, Membership, Ambassador, Education, Publicity, Shirley Plath, Social Equity).
Voting
Members vote in general elections and help shape MEPI organizational policy.
Discounts & Access
Discounted rates on the Hands for Peace conference and seminars, plus access to the Members Only area (archive documents, factoids, conference brochures). Email the office if you forget your passcode.

School Memberships
Schools that join MEPI gain accreditation support, intern placement eligibility, and a listing among our member schools. Membership renews annually across three levels.
Gold
MEPI accredited. Completed the full accreditation process, including self-studies, on-site visits, and staff and curriculum verification.
Silver
Has the Montessori-certified staff and equipment needed to successfully support MEPI interns.
Bronze
Has two years to bring on certified staff and equipment. Not yet ready to host MEPI interns.
